#WkndInReview- PL Pulls in P1 at Swainsboro Raceway 4/11

It's Magical at Swainsboro Raceway!

Anytime you're at a Dirt Track it's a Magical Time! From familiar fellowship to chili/cheese dog concessions to the solicitous smell of burnt racing fuel wafting the air. Walking through the infield you'll find crews pitching in getting done what needs to get done so their ride will be found basking in Victory Lane's sweet glow by night's end. Then after all is said and done teams helping each other pack equipment and exchanging information for a better show the following week.

This Saturday Evening was an Exceptionally Magical Event.

Purvis Family Venue Support Great Side by Side Dirt Track Action at it's Finest!!

As a beautiful spring night dusked over Swainsboro Raceway the track was bustling. Teams streamed in from surrounding areas to the Purvis Family venue chasing both weather and a chance to enjoy their hobby. One such team, 121 Nation with their New TnT ride and driver Pearson Lee Williams, pulled to the infield and began preparations to own this night. The previous evening had seen them in NeSmith Racing Action at Waycross Motor Speedway. They held their own in the 40 Lap Main Event against the Who's/Who of today's Racing World but didn't capture the Checkered Finish they craved. This resilient group took what they had learned and applied it to their gaining notes on the new chassis. Information proved quickly fruitful, they timed in quickest overall with a 15.103 to hold pole position starting honours in the main event over Chesley Dixon's #3 BWRC and Ben Faircloth's #27 Rocket.

Laying Down a 15.103 PL Captured the Night's Pole Honours!

19 car field rumbled onto the arena for green flag's salute to motorsports and Pearson artfully arched the 121 into Turn 1 holding Dixon at bay. PL was quickly back on the throttle and the two combatants continued their back and forth exchange down the back stretch with Faircloth's Rocket in the CatBird's seat waiting for either to slip up. As laps unwound the 121 machine exerted superior handling and started getting smaller only to have a caution bring the field back to him. Restart had Pearson on point with Dixon and Faircloth side by side. Green flew again to witness Pearson leave a great brawl of man and machine between Dixon and Faircloth for P2. Ben's Rocket eventually won that battle and closed the gap to within a car length on PL. All Faircloth could do was to apply pressure and hope for a driver error but Pearson's TnT Machine looked Great Everywhere on the track. Only thing to slow the 121 Machine down was Checkers warm embrace as Pearson Lee Williams captured his 1st LM Feature WIN at Swainsboro Raceway!!!

Terrific Battle for P2 by 2 of the Finest! Ben Faircloth #27 and Chesley Dixon #3!!

Here's what the Night's Champion had to say, "Car was tremendous the whole feature. I knew the track would slick off the last 10 laps of the race but I also knew we still had to be free enough at the start of the race to get away from the #3 and #27. Our team decided to leave the car alone after qualifying and determined that changing driving styles from the seat would be our feature set up. Beating folks like Ben Faircloth and Chesley Dixon to the line for the WIN is in itself so Amazing! Those 2 know this track so well and have so many celebrated wins between them here it's unreal.

"First off I'd like to thank the Good Lord, with Him nothing is impossible. I'd like to thank my parents Clayton and Erica Williams for giving me this opportunity. My sponsors: Dublin Tire, Williams Body Shop, Rainey Oil, Keyton Logging, WolfPack Racing, HH Chassis Specialists and PBR Race Car Fabrication. I'd like to thank the Purvis Family for this terrific facility to come to every week and of course All the Fans in the Stands without whom there'd be no racing anywhere!!!"

It'd be Nothing but a Set of Checkers that'd slow PL down for this Race!!!

$2K BIG Check went home with Luke Scott in the Pure Stock Division!!

In play on this night was a $2,000 Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stock Special. Luke Scott and Brent Herndon put on a Heckuva Good Show but it was Scott's #09 that left with the BIG Check. In Super Street it was Andy Stewart over Johnnie Tucker Jr, Mini Stock saw Joey Schoen beating Tim Wilkerson to the line, while Road Warrior's Main Event went to Seth Clark over Kip Poole and the 440 Division had Justin Thompson edging Rod Morris.

Terrific Battle for Point in Super Street with Andy Stewart #75 and Johnnie Tucker Jr #11!!
